1885yearThe first generation Wilhelm Schimmel
Mr. Wilhelm Schimmel, born in 1854, is the founder of the German SCHIMMEL piano company and the first-generation head of the company. Schimmel is his surname. Therefore, SCHIMMEL piano is a piano brand named after the family name. Mr. Wilhelm is both a violin manufacturing technician and a piano maker. With his love for piano manufacturing and mastering the piano manufacturing technology, he opened a piano manufacturing studio in Leipzig, Germany and formed his own team. In early 1885, he successfully manufactured the piano. The first SCHIMMEL piano.
Under the careful management of Mr. Wilhelm, SCHIMMEL has been developing steadily for 40 years. From a small workshop at first, it has gradually developed into a large-scale mass production factory. After 40 years of tremendous changes, SCHIMMEL has continued to grow. As a piano manufacturer, Mr. Wilhelm not only has excellent manufacturing skills, but also has unique experience in instrument design and color matching. The SCHIMMEL company still retains the design manuscripts of Mr. Wilhelm. The exquisite appearance is in line with the gorgeous, sophisticated, complicated and detailed home style of Europe at that time. At the end of the 19th century, the appearance of modern grand pianos basically took shape, and exquisite exterior decoration became the primary condition for attracting consumers. As a pioneer who follows the trend, Mr. Wilhelm's creativity and artistic grasp ability are beyond doubt. Under the careful management of Mr. Wilhelm, SCHIMMEL has gone through the first 40 years, from small workshops to mass production, upholding the belief of "quality first", SCHIMMEL has developed rapidly. In 1899 and 1909, SCHIMMEL pianos were successively awarded the title of Royal Piano Manufacturer by the Duke of Saxony Weimar in Germany and the King of Romania in Europe, and were allowed to use the Royal Royal Icon forever. Therefore, this logo is still in use today, and the crown logo on the SCHIMMEL piano also has this special meaning.
1927 year The second generation Wilhelm Arno Schimmel
Mr. Arno Schimmel is the second-generation manager of Schimmel Piano Company in Germany. He inherited his father's business and took over the company in 1927.

  In the 1920s and 1930s, due to the global political and economic turmoil and market depression, Mr. Arno Schimmel reviewed the situation and relocated the company to the Brunswick area where German handicrafts and industrial design were developed, and spent the winter with many German piano companies at that time. , Enabling the company to survive and continue to develop.

  In 1935, Mr. Arnold developed a modern piano with a simple style. Let the piano get rid of the over-sculpting of the outer shell to satisfy the mass consumers as the main goal and adapt to the market demand. The piano was also from the princes and nobles to the general public at this time.  
  In 1957, SCHIMMEL was able to produce various models of pianos. And it has a Scandinavian-style modern piano independently researched and developed, which is suitable in size, stable in quality, harmonious in tone, and stylish in appearance. Once it appears, it has swept the market and became the "national piano" in the European and American markets.  
  Mr. Arno, the second-generation manager of SCHIMMEL pianos, is advancing bravely, internal innovation and progress, external global expansion, two-pronged approach. In the 1950s, SCHIMMEL pianos became the best-selling German pianos in the international market and enjoyed a worldwide reputation.  
1961 year The third generation Nikolaus Wilhelm Schimmel
The long-term toil caused Mr. Arno, the second-generation manager of SCHIMMEL pianos to have a sudden illness and died. In 1961, the young third-generation SCHIMMEL piano Mr. Nikolaus Wilhelm Schimmel urgently took over the company.
  Fortunately, the third generation learned about the operation and management of the company with his father very early, and was passionate about piano manufacturing. He was familiar with every process of piano manufacturing and knew the layers of company management.
  During the more than 40 years of the third-generation management company, SCHIMMEL pianos have been in a leading position in the German piano manufacturing industry and have been the best-selling German piano for 35 years.
  In 1951, SCHIMMEL successfully developed the world's first crystal grand piano. The transparent and exquisite shell design allows people to clearly see the internal structure of the piano. In 1952, this crystal piano also won the German Technology Invention Award as my part.
 
  In the 1990s, SCHIMMEL piano and international designer Luigi Colani (Luigi Colani) collaborated to create the Pegasus piano.
  Viewed from any angle, the entire piano is like a vigorous flying horse flying through the sky, with both "the charm of the piano and the form of a flying horse". The piano stool and the piano body are combined into one, which can truly enable the player to enjoy the performance of the human piano.  
  Continuous innovation gives the brand full vitality, the third generation exerts its own creativity, keeps pace with the times, and constantly explores the possibility of piano development, leaving a number of benchmark works for the development of the piano industry. To this day, the crystal piano and the Pegasus piano are still industry benchmarks and have been imitated, never surpassed.
2003 year The fourth generation Hannes Schimmel-Vogel
In 2003, Nikolaus Wilhelm Schimmel’s daughter Viola Schimmel and son-in-law Hannes Schimmel-Vogel took over the SCHIMMEL company, and under the guidance of the third generation, continued to grow and expand the SCHIMMEL piano brand.
  The 21st century is a time when science and technology are dominant. The use of high technology has changed the core competitiveness of piano manufacturing. Relying on technology to improve quality and promote the sublimation of the piano. In this period, tone, sound quality, and touch have become the criteria for the public to choose pianos.
  After the fourth generation took over the company, it gradually enriched the Konzert (recital) series of piano products, and continued to improve the core design of Schimmel piano family products to improve their acoustic quality and performance.
  The unique design concept of the concert series grand piano "sexet" is a patent owned by SCHIMMEL Piano Company. Six different models of grand pianos, from the largest model K280 nine-foot piano to a small-sized grand piano suitable for home use, all use the same string design structure, so that home grand piano models can be used for the same concert professional piano The same playing experience.
  The 21st century SCHIMMEL pianos continue to expand. In 2016, they reached a strategic collaboration with Zhujiang Piano Group and officially entered the Chinese market. On the basis of maintaining the original Konzert and Classic series produced in Braunschweig, Germany, and the Wilhelm series produced in Kalisz, Poland, combined with the Chinese market, the Schimmel Fridolin series pianos are produced in Guangzhou Zhujiang Piano Group. Since then, the SCHIMMEL piano brand structure has basically taken shape.
  In order to better serve the Chinese market, Schumier Piano (China) Co., Ltd. was formally established in 2019, marking a new stage in the development of SCHIMMEL pianos in China.
  For 135 years, SCHIMMEL has contributed a lot to the German piano manufacturing industry. Braunschweig, where the factory is located, is also a home for SCHIMMEL employees and their families. There, they used the fullest enthusiasm, focus on details and unremitting pursuit of craftsmanship, making SCHIMMEL based on the world famous pianos.
  This year marks the 135th anniversary of the birth of SCHIMMEL pianos. The centuries of precipitation have changed the personnel and the eternal quality. Spiritual products require a lifetime of hard work. In 135 years, SCHIMMEL focused on the piano, dedicated to making all musicians enjoy the joy of playing.
